Sahara sand

Most of South Wales has had quite a dusting from the Sahara desert - everything covered in a thin film of dust/sand including my boat!!! Anyone else been hit???

We have had this before but it still amazes me that it can be carried so far - must be huge amounts.

My white van was a muddy colour the other afternoon in the rain. Now it just looks like it's been parked next to the rough sea for a few hours since it's all dried to salty stuff on the windows.

Do you know?some times that south wind carries with him flys from south Tunisia and Libya. i know them! i leaved many yaers in Tunisia and the south tunisian fly insists when you chase it! The most bad is that we must wash cars, boats and swimming pols but the "Sirocco" brings also with him heat to best season!. I hope my English is understandible for you! A good week end and good night!

It did make me wonder a little - a hell of a lot better than my French though!!!

Just a bit confused about flys - did you mean the insect thing or fly as in like an aeroplane?

We had more of this sand today - it's made me wonder why our rain doesn't go there???
