Firstly thank you all for all the replies and the PMs, I will reply to them as soon as I can.

Dad was not a well man and he had to take 21 tablets a day for all his different problems, I always knew that one day he would not be here and it was only three years ago that I realised that we needed to do something different, something new to us both.

I will never forget the days out we had and how great they were. Once we towed Avocet back to Poole from Yarmouth, this took hours and Dad loved every second of it, although he did nearly side swiped him into a couple of gin palaces in Poole harbour

And then there was the time when I rented Biff's place on the island, Biff persuaded me to take my rib so my wife dropped me off at his house and then drove to the ferry with the kids. Biff then launched me on the local slip and looked after my trailer for the week. My dad came over for the last few days and we cruised from Cowes to the Needles and then stopped off to meet my family for nachos at Yarmouth. Neither of us wanted to leave Cowes but when we got back Biff was standing on the slipway with my trailer on the back of his truck waiting for us.

Great times and great memories made possible by the people on this forum so that's why I wanted to say thank you
