RNLI (Swanage) come to the rescue again

Rescue today, two yachties in big trouble near Swanage,nice to know they are there if you need them.(Hope the links below work).

video looks a bit nasty, woman didn't have the guts to jump into the lifeboat so had to be airlifted, not very nice on a monday morning

I don't blame her - the RIB was arse end in - she would have landed on the engines!!!

I suspect some serious cluelessness from them TBH.Apparently the owner was in the cabin when it went into the rocks.

No-one in a yacht with any sense goes anywhere near Anvil point unless they have fairly good local knowledge. It goes from 30m to very shallow and rocky in a very short distance and the tides around it can be quite nasty at the wrong times.



Bloody good fishing there though at the right time It's one of my favourite areas round Poole/Swanage as the jetskiers don't usually go that far round.

250k and only 2 weeks old,,, seams the block only had a one week course

report says he is a banker,, think a spelling mistake myself !! the Times do not know thier B's from W's
