Ribers Dictionary
To pass the time when cutting the lawn last evening, I thought there should be a dictionary of RibNet words and terms to enhance/confuse threads.
Here are some for starters. Hopefull they will not upset anyone, but if they do.... Well ..... “Sorry”.
I am not quite sure who is a nown, verb or adjective yet.
Biggles - Check and re-ckeck something.
Brooks - Electronic wizardry.
Codder - Definitive Google search.
Cookie - Fast and furious.
gArf - toOal bolliX.
Jackeen - Something nice/well organised, but perhaps a bit too pink.
Kevin - Large and scary.
Jimbo - Knowledgeable beyond his years.
JK - Very, very long/tall.
JW - Angle grinder, preferably turbo diesel powered.
Luxton - Ultimate humour in the face of adversity.
Nasher - Something cobbled together from scrap which is so elegant it would make Mr. Heath and Mr. Robinson weep with joy.
Nauti - Bigger than necessary.
Nos4R2 - Wet ………….. very wet. (as in water)
Pete 7 - Definitive, without doubt.
Rogue - A bit accident prone.
Tim M - Drunk.

So, one could say that if you have a bit of a JK beverage in a Cookie manner, you'll end up talking a bit gArfish, and may have to be a bit Luxton when you encounter a Kev. All the while you may realise that actually your beverage was a little Nauti Buoy.
All in all, when you end up a bit Tim M, especially if you're boating with the spirit of Rogue, you could end up a touch Nos4r2!

Mark,
You need to get out on your boat more. The summer is not the time to be swotting up on RIBNET members

Mark you need a Halliday
A Halliday (noun) The lighter side of life / time out from more serious pursuits / the act of running a yacht aground anywhere well-known / completion of an emergency stop on a RIB by losing the engine overboard
Hightower (noun) the first sculptor to use an angle grinder
Robin (noun) the face of SAGA holidays (it's OK he's away)
No doubt there will be more... tcwozere (noun) smiler?
Nauti is looking unbelievably smug since he read his.
