I run vista - if you go to the funny little start circle then computer it should be seen at the bottom of the list of folders ( unless you have really done somehting odd ) .

Do you find Vista freezes in IE ? or is it just me ?

Its not there either?

Sometimes IE opens loads of of windows on its own, spoke to two other users who also have the same problem.

Double click on Computer' from the Desktop. You should then find it at the foot of the LH folder listing

I saw that happen on a friend's machine yesterday-he had to reboot to stop it.

Click the 'Windows' icon bottom left of the 'Desktop' screen...

A menu opens up with programmes in a field with a white background on the left. In the dark background area on the right you'll find 'Computer' about half way up. Click on that...

'Recycle Bin' is at the bottom of the list now appearing on the left. Either click on that to open the 'Recycle Bin', or, press 'Ctrl' and press and hold 'left mouse button' to drag it to the Desktop

Looked in C drive and couldn't see it? I'll do a print screen tonight so you can see what I don't have...

Quick search found this
To put the recycle bin back on your desktop, right click in the middle of your screen (NOT on an existing icon), and select "Personalize". On the left hand side, under Tasks, there's an option called "Change desktop icons". Click that link, then put a checkbox in Recycle Bin. Click Apply, Then OK, then close the personalization window. Your recycle bin should now be displayed
