Raleigh Chopper........

.......oh the memories. I rekon the Chopper is a little like the swingin sixties and Woodstock where by everyone claims to have been there. Similarly everyone claims to have had a Chopper. I for one didn't, I had some crap thing my dad picked up as a hand me down and painted it red. On a similar note, when the BMX first hit the streets back in the early-mid eighties, I get a crappy Grifter which weighed a ton and looked like a barge compared to the BMX. Anyway, my daughter is 9 next week and I've just ordered her a nice new Raleigh Chopper and I don't care if she wants one or not

You were spoilt man, when I were a young lad, other than living in the middle of the street in a paper bag, I had an ex GPO bike that me dad painted blue and stuck cable identification stickers on it (don’t ask me why, must have been cheap)

Anyone with a real Chopper was dead posh in our book Des
