what i would like is a model rib with a Glow fuel outboard,, does anybody do them??
i was considering makin one, how would you do the toobs??

We have done inboard and outboard RIBs with IC engines but to be honest with 20 minutes runtime and faster charging of modern batteries (2 hours for NMH cells or 3 hours for Lithium Polymer) electric is hard to beat now, they are cleaner and the cells are so light it doesn't impact on the performance so much.

ps the tubes aren't blow up ones!

that one in the pic above is a ribeye!!

I built a few rc boats a couple of years ago - one was a rib based on a Shead design class one or something...pics below. the hull was made by graupner... I bought a motor that did about 35,000rpm - the boat did about 30mph - which was about 300mph at scale speed - it lasted about 15mins.

These german guys build probably the best rc scale models in the world: http://www.modellbau-yachten.de/

The Fairline Targa build gallery looks like they spent a very scary amount of time getting them right.

Actually it isn't!

That is a model of our BananaShark race boat, we were sponsored by Ribeye for a couple of years hence the logo! It is the same hull as our 770 leisure boat.
