Edit your buyer preferences. You'll be able to block anyone overseas from bidding on your item once you cancel his bids

Question about Pay Pal....

...And bank charges.

I see that Pay Pal doesn't charge a fee for transfering my funds to my bank account. I can't for the life of me see on the Lloyds website what fees they will be charging me. Anyone got any Idea's, if not I'll ring them when I get home from work.

Is this for your personal account? (i.e. not a business account). Normally there are no charges for recieving BACS payments into a personal current account. Just as e.g. recieving your salary each month if that is how you are paid.

Yes it's for personal stuff Polwart.

My Salary is payed by Bacs and I don't get charged for that. When I transfered some of my funds from some ebay sales a couple of weeks ago I got charged for the transfer. Paypal say they don't charge, so the banks must. I'd just like to know what I'm paying for and what pricing structure they are using. I've searched the bank website on and off all day and haven't found an answer.

How much did you transfer? There used to be charges from Paypal for transfers to bank accounts under £50.I assume it's still the same.

I lied! It wasn't an ebay transaction it was a money transfer from one person to me. Still can't see where the charges came from and why I was charged them?

Was it sent by BACS? Or possibly by another method, like CHAPS (usually costs £15-20 depending on the bank, sender can decide who pays) or FasterPayments - not sure if there are fees for this with personal transactions?

You can waste a life away looking for a tiny bit of information on a website. But all sorted thanks Polwart.

The sender of the money must have used a credit card to fund the transfer, then lumbered me with the fee...3.4% +£0.20

https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/he...y-fees-outside

I'll have to make sure this doesn't happen again, but luckily this time I'd slightly overestimated the postage cost and only lost a couple of pence.

Thanks for all your help.
