quality food

http://gizmodo.com/351304/cheeseburg...iting-reported

This makes McDs look like haute cuisine - notice it's made in Germany - the home of great food.............

Bet Lidl and Aldi start selling them!!!

It WAS a joke...........

Having said that I was put off Lidl food when I bought a Dr Oekter pizza. It was really vile - not suprising really as the Germans aren't exactly know for their pizzas. I didn't know pizzas were meant to have cream in them either. Still I now see that even Tesco are selling them!!!

I can't see the point in it-even if it doesn't taste awful. If it was in a self heating can then it'd be a good idea as emergency food though.

I always throw 3-4 self heating MRE's in the truck when going out of town for a long trip. At $2.00 each they are a good standby. Need to a few more in stock for the boat.

I remember one of the finest meals I ever had was a self heating meal of Hungarian Goulash. Sitting by an underground river frozen through prob made it taste nicer than it really was!!!

Talking of that cheeseburger it looks like it's made by katadyn - I wonder if it's the same company that makes the amazing water filters etc that I have used many times in the wilds???

It's a speciality in the Alsace-Lorraine region. They taste awesome with ham, cream, egg and cheese.

Me too..always keep a stock for those "Ah Shit I'm stuck!!" moments... Don't rate the US MRE rations ..try Hotpack/Wayfarer/ UK M.O.D.. they're all from the same factory and are pretty palatable with a good selection. Hotpack will sell you the heating sleeves separately so you can add them to UK ratpacks.. Oh..and a bottle of Worcester Sauce to liven up the hash.. http://www.hotpackmeals.co.uk/

I think those Dr Oetker ones are fantastic - especially the mushroom one
