Prague, anyone been?

Guys,

Some friends and I are planning a trip to Prague in mid November.

Can anyone on here give us an idea of some must visit places, including good bars/clubs etc. and day activities.

Also, can anyone recommend any cheap accomodation for 4 adults? We've found 4 bed apartments for £60 each for 7 nights, but not sure how nice these will be!

Any advice or suggestions welcome....

Cheers

Tim

Not sure if Irish Tim is online these days but he's a bit of an expert in Prague.

As is Enda O Coineen !

Seems to be an exciting destination and mebbe a photographer's paradise?

now , i have been here,,
i went in jan, effing cold. like -18 during the day.
great city, lots to see. try to stay ion the old town square.

book your hotel through- www.travelcook.com
contact Tomas.

i tried to cheap out too much at 1st and booked accomodation through another uk site. dont. you will need a local firm , I found, cos when you pitch up at the airport, all the writing is in - like Russian, or something. in the end i booked through these guys. they will organize taxis etc if you ask them and organise tours etc (which you will need or you hotel will) Dont stay on Wencelsas Square - too commercial. any other info please pm. great bars, great place to visit without doubt.

Very useful advice

The only two things I know about Prauge:

How to say (but not spell): "Wen farht die nexata Zug nach Prague" (when is the next train to Prague in German)

And there are no McDonalds in Prauge.

yeah there is!! we went there hungover its right at the end of the town slightly uphill near a monument, I went there on a stag doo type event, great place, mental buildings, steep hilly walks through town - scary spirals that look evil at night, english breakfast has continental sausgaes, a photographers heaven , great irish bars, friendly people -

We had a lecture on this yesterday with a lecturer who we are trying to dis-credit as useless so this will go against him!

to find undesecrated spots... is undesecrated a word? You know what I mean..
