some free ntfs partition recovery software, desperately needed to recover a friends hard disk, he deleted the wrong partition and is about to get in trouble at work

there is a program called Get Data Back for NTFS, i have copy of it, if u need it as u have to pay for it normally.

I just overworked a hard drive and it's collapsed on me, so I have to start again from scratch. Got a mate coming round tonight with recovery software though!

Will let you know how we get on, and if any of his programs could be good for you.

Never tried to recover a partition with it - but can let you have a copy of Partition Manager v6 (purely to look at you understand...) if you're still stuck.

Guys thanks for you offers of help, I've just managed to recover the xp (ntfs) using a linux based dos program called Bootmaster rescue -
