Plasma or LCD
Hi
looking to get a new HD flat screen for my PS 3 36-40"
So any techies out there which one would you go for and then which model as I’ve seen price differences of over £600 and the only difference is a letter in the model number, which I think has something to do with refresh rate and drivers for the screen (last bit maybe wrong)
I use a sharp 36” LCD at the mo

Cruser is yer man for all that gear. You might get hold of him on 247, if you can get him down off of the 'loved up' cloud that he's floating around on.

i use a 50" lg Plasma running 1080 resolution with a PS3 and the picture quality is stunning. In one of our larger TV stores they have Pioneer, Lg and Sharp running side by side and the Pioneer defiantly has a more natural picture, but it is the most expensive by far.
Tony
Play.com seem to have some good deals..

It's DVD players. Shame. I've just been given an HD-DVD player.

Plasma. Stunning reproduction through HD connections, better at any viewing angle.
Pioneer if you have unlimited funds, Panasonic if you want to be a bit more budget conscious. Both are multi-award winning.

I've got neither, but when veiwing tv's along side each other in the shop then I think that generally LG has the upper hand with blacks looking black and better contrast and picture that the others, unless you've got unlimited funds. Plasma does look better than LCD and is cheaper in alot of cases now.
