Credit is due.
Yesterday, one of my air conditioners quit. Please remember that the outside temp is 110 F. Called my A/C guy and he arrived at 7 pm. on a Fri. evening after about 1 hour of diagnostic work found a corroded wire to the compressor.
He repaired and the system started working. Bill was $195.00. Sometime during the night it stopped working. Called him about 11am. and he said he would be there by 2 pm. ( This is a Sat.) he spent another hour and found that the start capacitor on the fan motor had died. Called his office and they told him that the capacitor had been replaced 9 months previous. Result: no charge.
Sooooo there are still some honest guys in this world>
Needless to say this guy got a healthy tip.

By the way what whats an air conditioner used for ?

I've just got to stick my head out the door and it gets blown off.
