If the father thinks one little bump In a car is going to ruin his daughters life, then he needs to wise up a bit. Life throws you lots of problems, some self inflicted, others out of the blue, but the rest of us just get on and deal with it.

This will teach her that you have to be accountable for your actions, and put right your mistakes. A useful lesson in life.

You gave them the easy way out, and the father rejected it. So you could say he has ruined his own daughters life.

Cheers all, everyone that needs to know now does including the police :-) after he sent texts saying

your car could have been repaired for significantly less money and nicole could have preserved her ins, you played hard ball with a young girls future when she did the right thing, dont expect me to forget this

Sounds like an Inferred threat to me....

I'm not usually one to want to care such Muppets, however I think now I'm going to make it as hard as possible for him.

I know the police are very hot on accidents that involve mobile phones....and I think this is why she crashed, so I'm going to throw that into the mix......

I suppose you could have told him to arrange for some quotes to repair your car as long as they are approved accident repairers and not some backstreet bloke with an aerosol. That way he would have seen that you were playing fair?
