Me too. I have a Sony camera which uses CD's as the recording medium. Sony attempt to prevent it using other make CD's. It can be made to use them but after use no way can I get them to reformat.

Reasoning is.

Daughter thinks it looks cool.

Long battery life 35 hrs ( we go camping and boating without 240V)

We keep our music on a network so can play from any PC. This will synchronise with the existing files (I think - according to PC World it will but I'm not sure I believe them).

According to WHICH Sony has as good or better sound than the Ipod

Given the negative comment on Sony DVD & CD players, is this going to give us problems with compatibility?

Will check it out for you later unless someone else knows - don't think there are problems with these MP3 players but you never know.

I half recall that, when I tried to load MP3 tracks onto my Sony.. the blue one... it wouldn't take them from the Creative software that prepped 'em for my original Creative player... a black one.. So I used the Sony software .. I'll check it out ... if I can remember where the damned thing is...
