Oil spill disaster

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/mid/5391094.stm

"A clean-up is continuing after an oil leak from a tanker in New Quay, mid Wales, forced evacuation of homes and left two needing medical attention."

Sounds terrible - another quote
"Kerosene reached the beach 150m (450ft) away, raising worries for sea life."

I have never heard such crap in all my life - all this fuss with clean up crews and the environment agency - also 2 people taken to hospital. A ROAD tanker spilled about 300 gallons of central heating oil - it ran down the road and some got onto the beach!!!

Yes, I agree with you. The BBC seem to report inaccurately more often than they used to do. The thing that irritates me, is the use of non-expert experts who they use to comment on a situation and they, in turn, state things to be true which they have no accurate grounds for. Frequently it seems to be personal opinion or guess work but put forward as fact.

Maybe they use Google, a bit like yourself, Codders.

Kero would make almost no mess anyway apart from a bit of a smell which will be gone in no time.... if it was FFO they might have something to whinge about!
