Perhaps as the councils project manager he should have spent a little more time to the finer details so it wouldn't be 5 years over due and cost local tax payers an extra 11m. He got his just deserts.

Labour don't exactly have a very good track record on these "Millenium" projects - there is this latest fiasco - then you have the Millenium Bridge and dare I mention the Dome???

Steady on Codders - the Dome project was a brilliant scheme allowing public money to reclaim a chemically polluted wasteland to the point whereby it could be sold to private developers!
