One of the most annoying foggy times for me was a bright sunny day but a very thick fog laying just on the surface on the sea about 2 metres deep , sitting down in the boat you could only see about 5 metres in front but standing up you could see for miles .

John, did you get a chance to head out on the Bay? I had forgotten when you were in the city. This coming weekend we will be diving North in Mendocino. Hopefully we get to have a few whale encounters

Alcatraz is interesting. I always enjoy hiking on Angel Island.

Are you heading up to the wine country? I live in Sonoma County in Santa Rosa.
