New high speed cats for Portsmouth

They finally arrived yesterday on the back of another ship. Just happened to see them this eve parked up in the harbour - they are a lot bigger than the old ones. Saw Our Lady Pamela being towed out of the harbour by a tug the other day, guess shes off to the scrap heap somewhere.

Showing my age here - but I remember when they were 'new' and fantastic - must be about 20 years ago ? Surely with new engines they would have life left on them ?

They do seem to have been chucking out more & more smoke each year for the last few years whrn they throttle up when out of the harbour !
