I'm with Orange or EE as its now called I've been with them for 14 yrs and never been with another network so I can't say much about other companies
but I have always managed to get a connection while out in the sticks where others haven't.

I've just renewed with Vodafone, don't know why, wish I had gone back to O2 ! Unless you live in a big city the coverage is shocking. Apparently you can have G4 in London, I'd be happy with any connection that works.

Just been through this and ended up staying with Vodafone because of the deal they offered me. I've been with them 16yrs and Coverage has never been an issue.

£13/month gets me 300 mins, 250Mb download, and unlimited texts.
Additional £5/month means Me, Mrs Nasher and the two younger Nashers can talk to each other 24/7 for the £5.
Then Piggyback contracted Mrs Nasher and the two younger Nashers onto my contract for £6.74/month each, giving them each 300mins, 500 texts and 250Mb. This is obviously additional to talking to each other 24/7 for the £5 mentioned above.

Considering I was topping all three of them up @£20/month on their PAYG Vodafone deals we're a lot better off.

I never use my phone for the internet, so will probably reduce the cost down further by having the 250MB download removed from my contract.

Not that I'm aware of.
I thought EE was Orange and T-Mobile

My Broadband is with EE, perhaps I can get some discount by adding the two packages together

Dont think so-we had Orange in work vehicles and the coverage was shocking. My own phone has always been Voda as it was the only service provider that covered the run from the M5 to Barnstaple without dropping out for years.

I've been out of contract with O2 for ages and been on a Sim only tarrif.

Just seen that Three do decent sim only tariffs that will save me and misses £10-15/month.

Does anyone have Three and have experience of coverage? I use Three PAYG for mobile data and its good in the limited areas where I use it, but phone will be used far more widely. Also, what are their email servers like? I can't send business email through my PAYG Sim as they block port 25 and I don't have alternative. Hoping that contract gives me access to their SMTP servers.

O2 unlocked our phones for free which I thought was good. So we can hopefully transfer them to Three with no issues.

Three Sim only, 12 month
£9.90 1GB data, 600mins, 5000txt plus extra three-2-three deal with shop
£15 unlimited data, 2000mins, 5000txt, 5000mins three-2-three

£15 deal is effectively unlimited for us and allows tethering so will do away with need for PAYG Sim (iPad) and/or Samba mobile (mifi dongle)

I think there are only a few different networks. Vodafone, 3, t- mobile, orange, O2 all the rest are the same as one if the above.

I have had two phones on contract with T-Mobile for around 8 years but since the change to EE they don't seems interested in the small business customer anymore, they wanted to increase my charges considerably at renewal time.

I have just switched to Giffgaff. 500 minutes, unlimited texts, 1gb data and tethering allowed for £10 a month sim only and no long contract .

If you want to try Giffgaff get an existing customer to order you a sim as both parties get a £5 free credit, so if you know a mate on Giffgaff get them to order it for you.

Biffer, the grass is always greener next door ( normally because it's fertilised with bulls**t )

Our business phones are with Orange and to be fair they have beek Ok.

My personal phone is with Voda and, like Nasher, has been there for 16 years now. Recently, Voda had a repututation for not making much of an effirt at renewal time whith many people i know trying the old "well ok then, if thats all your gonna do for me then i'll cancel my contract" trick to which the reply seemed to be " goodbye then" !

Yesterday though i was pleasently surprised when i contacted them with a view to upgrading. They really did make an effort to keep me which came as a bit of a surprise.

What annoys me a bit though is, instead of giving you thr best possible deal right of the bat, they always seem to hold back in an attempt to extort as much money from you as possible in return for the least amount of services.
Fir example, i was offered a 2 gb data package which i was happy with but figured hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained, and asked if they could up this to 4 gb? " yeah, we can do that" came the reply!....... So why not offer me 4 gb right from the start?

Anyway, the French have a good expression which when translated says... " whether your bitten by s dog or a bitch, your still bitten never the less"

I've considered moving providers but have always figured it to be a short term economy.

Try Voda again, as i said, they seem to be making more of an effort of recent.

Simon

Orange EE were on watchdog 2 weeks ago as the highest rate of complaints. Mate works for EE in management position and they are aware of major issues)(which they wont admit publicly) that they don,t own enough cells per area to support all this new internet usage and not updated software and coverage masts.. used to be with orange for 10 years.. changed to Vodafone who own more of have the use or more cells per area than the competition.

just updated my Voda contract, £13 per month, unlimited calls and text so happy with that but bloody i phone still drops calls and each call is a 3 call strategy!! Bring back Dial a Disc in the phone box... At least that worked....

I use GiffGaff on my Tablet, (£12 gives me 250 mins, unlimited texts and internet, but no tethering) it's real value for money, the only downside is that it uses the O2 network, so coverage isn't the best.

For my phone I'm on Voda, (Red) not brilliant, but the only one that works at my home, and most other places that I visit.
