Mystery object...

Found this on the beach this morning. Made of copper and about 2" across.

I have no idea what it is but am open to speculation!

Despite the obvious invitation to guess with "speculative" answers... The sheer craziness of your imaginations makes me rather concerned about your mental states!

.... I diagnose two cups of salt water with two teaspoons of two stroke oil taken twice daily until the summer silly season starts. That should calm you down a little!
