We are overpopulating it, we are a vermin infestation upon the planet, without any natural predators. The best we can hope for is a plague or bigger meteorite than last months. We are obsessed with curing disease/famine/war, the net result being that there are more of us & the problems just get worse. All the worlds problems are a direct result of our inability to control our own population.
