Consider this ( I have often woken with several lumps on me from one night..so much for teh one meal every 3 days
I dont care if they are male and female (hard to check if they have balls)
If someone with aids has just being half bitten sucked and the mosie lands on me and I feel it and slap the little f..ker, do you think that as I slap him/her that his /her probiscus gives a shit whether its inward flow or outward flow...
What was the last thing to go through teh mossies head as I slapped him in the middle of biting me...... His/her arse, oh and along with teh contaminated blood.

Nice bit of prose Aidan. Consider the following. The female is the one who bites- the male a contended sod who only seems to have one thing in mind.
The actual bite is not a bite per se. The female injects her salava , when the probe first enters the skin. The salava is to lubricate the probe and what itches is the salava that remains under the skin- and thereby infection starts-but only if the mossi is carrying parasites. In Northern Europe actual malaria is rare. You are more likely to catch something from a dog or cat. But you do have a valid point on HIV. Polwart suggests that the hIV virus is destroyed by the salava. I think that is not thre case- becaause it would then imply that aids victimes need to be bitten to be cured??????????.

So go ahead , give em your blood( must be great stuff as its irish )

Thanks for the prose thing.. Yeah I am not sure about it all but at least I do not have to carry it with me any more, a problem shared sort of thing.

Meanwhile, I remain unconvinced by any argument.
I have read the titbit from teh medical Journal and it just assumes too much and raises more questions...
Nothing I can do about it tho....
I heard about only the female biting but to be honest its hard enough to kill them let alone detect their sex.. still wouldnt trust the male ones tho, they may not need the protein but they can still get hungry!!!

We also have Doctor Flies (bigger bastards) over here. They leave a lump 1 inch dia. You will get them up the Shannon..

ts not that they are painful, younever feel them till they withdraw probe and fly off. then yu know you are bitten, they are disgusting as they aso live off horse pats and stuff so dont know if you get stung or posioned but you know that you will have a lump thee in the morning as your body copes with their filthy saliva. Consider of they can get through Horse hide, they can also get through Denim!!!!!

Don't worry Aidan - with your Irish blood no god -fearing mossi is going to go anywhere. Get a repellant. Anyway when you get bitten just swab with
vinegar - which will neurtralize the acid in the salava
and stop the itching.Talk about disgusting? What is more to the fact that a dog will lick/clean his/her private parts and then go and lick your face!!!!!!!!

Anyway,. it would be more interesting if you could solve my problem on split fuel tanks encassed in the hull!!!!!!!!!!!
