oh yes I remember that one - part of the Coastguard sky diving team. Despite being slightly flatter than when it went over the side it apparently started first time when they tried it later in the morning while it was still down on the rocks! Part of the perils of cliff rescue and a moments inattention.
Another vehicle was lost a few months later when it stopped on a cliff side trail. The passenger was on the cliff edge side but got out to open a farm gate. The cliff top gave way and rolled the vehicle over the side. The driver got out of his side just before it went over. A terrano that one I think.

Does anyone have any comments about towing with a short wheel base vehicle against a longer one? Obviously there will be a weight difference but appart from that what are the issues. I'm about to change my towing car and as this is what my girlfriend drives day-to-day something more practical than a V8 Disco may be an idea.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

Mike

Now that is the ONLY good Jap offroader!!!

They are a bitch on the road though - rough as hell - slow and very dodgy on wet roundabouts!!!!

Also don't have much power - what engine is in yours - 1000 or 1300 or have you modded it???

Nice to see someone uising them the way they were intended!!!

Had one myself for a while - great fun but how ANYONE can slag LRs off for rusting when the Japs can build something like that is beyond me!!! Seems to come with tin worm as standard!!! Did pick mine up for 50 though!!!

1324cc - standard, tuned, well oiled and maintained, simple - I dont cane it about - cruise comfortably on motorway at around 60 although a little bouncy, (stone age leaf sprung) suspension, had 84 out of her, but didnt wanna blow it - not that sort of vehicle
