Yes I have been involved in some pretty extreme offroading - a full rollcage and harness makes you feel a lot braver!!!

Looking at him again it was NOT the fact he got up there that suprised me - more like the fact he managed to recover from it after screwing it up!!!!
The Yanks love their rock crawling - especially in the Moab. Most vehicles are heavily modded but when it comes to "stock" vehicles the LR 90 is king. Having said that they also mod the LR 90 - one very popular fit is the Aschroft Underdrive - basically it gives you incredibly low gearing for more control over big boulders - Ģ1400 and they sell nearly all of them to the USA!!!

What people need to remember is there is a hell of a difference between a modified off roader and something capable of travelling 500 miles in comfort at 100mph!!!
Most of the Jeeps the Yanks use in the Moab are totally rebuilt for the job!!! The standard items don't have much of a chance so LR do pretty well considering....

Not going quite that far but the "new" 110 will be getting its 4.6 with the correct skim (when I know what it should be) for its 3.5l heads (yes being cheap and not getting the 4.6l heads - sorry) May splash out on tubular header exhaust. When I do I'll do you nice sound clip.
Still looking at tyres 35" or 37" but 17" or 18"rims may be a consideration to stop it wallowing too much when towing, now its getting expensive!
