Mobile credit card terminal - short term hire?

Does anyone know where I can get mobile (GSM) credit card terminals on short term hire? I need a couple for a few weeks, but don't want to sign up for a four year contract!

Merchant account is sorted, I just want the terminals . . .

HOW MUCH
I pay less than that a quarter from them.
Give them a ring and see if you can get a deal.

I could lend you mine, no need to change the merchant number.

There was an add in the Guild of Mastercraftsmen mag a while back, I will see if I still have it...

Try this service - www.mobilepos.co.uk

Uses a little Java app on your mobile phone - no pin but you can use the 3 digit security number.

Talking to people at the boat show, your rate for a wireless terminal seems to be typical.

I am all heart.

Mike's suggestion reminds me, you can access somer merchant processing via a laptop, Protx for example. No extra cost.

Are off somewhere nice?

Yes - that's another option. I think most of the payment gateways will allow online card details to be entered.

In fact, the MobilePos service also has a web interface which is less work that the Protx one.

Well I ended up getting BT to put a phone line in. So much for modern technology!
