Nah you want one of these - often see them for sale for about 5000 - very low milage as well.

I suppose a few hundred gallons of water sloshing about does nothing for the handling then?

I have driven a 6 wheel Rangie and thought it was great but not a crash tender version!

Series Land Rovers were just so right for putting a winch on - in between the wings and behind the bumper - what a great idea! And no need for crappy checker plate on wings and bonnet - they are strong enough anyway!

Mate has an ex Army SIII called Monty that we love to bits - it is so tough and rugged - just hose down inside and out after use - roof and doors off if we get a summer - very much like a RIB I suppose!

They arnt even comparable, not in the same league, Jap stuff is over engineered, r and d backed, thouroughly tested, you can just picture them in the Defender factory bolting on the exhaust when the dinner bell goes and coming back after lunch and starting something else before finishing the last thing!

WONKA BAR TECHNOLOGY

If you dont believe me do a google search on landrover defender faults
