I'm not sure I should declare support for you, Cod, but I wouldn't be sad about it.

I don't agree with that one. They'll be in the majority because many nonsmokers vote with their feet. If a smoker comes to my house and needs a drag, they're shown the garden and they're not allowed back in until they have stopped mingin'.

You'd rather they bought it down the alleyway next to Tesco?

I don't let people smoke anywhere near me - I am actually allergic to it - yes I DO vote with my feet. Having said that they opened a no smoking pub in Swansea - it closed after a few months!!!

It's amazing how these threads meander off on odd tangents. We had a fatal boating accident which has now become a Morrisons v Tescos heroin supply convo!!

back on thread, i think it is stupid and irresponsible to drink to excess and drive a fast boat, however how much is excess, some countries regard any amount of drink as excess. but i do beleive drink and speed related activities are a recipe for disaster. the trouble is drink and any activity can also be the recipe for disaster, like forgetting to turn lights on, being in the wrong place, not being vigilant.

trouble is on the river loads of folks drink which is part of the pleasure but i guess everyone is going very slow so there is less chance for a nasty accident but it does happen, usually in locks

just my thoughts
