Mad rugby results!

Amazing France - A/B match last night!

Should be an exciting next Saturday night! Doubt that Whiteshoes is getting any sleep in antipodean lands!

More than a few sad faced people around here - the stunned looks on the ozzies and all blacks said it all.

Melbourne is taking an increasing interest in just about any other sport now - even chocolateering made it onto this evenings news.

It'll be much worse in Auckland and Christchurch. It eally is a disaster for NZ. They are/were the best side in the world by some margin. Somehow they appear to 'choke' the big games these days. However, Grahan Henry never inspired confidence.

I keep thinking back to those All Black sides of the 80's where victories seemed to be routinely snatched at the last minute - kept waiting for it this time, just one field goal, just one, just...

Best of luck for your guys next week!

Saw the game at Mullaloo Surf Life Saving Club with about 100 Aussies and a dozen gobby poms. Against my better instincts, I found myself supporting England, which surprised me as I consider myself an ex-pom.

The Aussies couldn't believe that they had lost and the place emptied really quickly at the final whistle !

There have been a number of 3am alarm calls to watch the important games but although we turned the TV on, I slept (snored) through France's triumph over the All Blacks.

As I type the Fijians are scaring the crap out of SA.

If the Sweaty's get past Argentina tonight, a friend of a friend stands to make £22k off a spread bet for the weekends results.

Not looking good at the moment tho'

(Bejaysus Bittentobuggery (formerly known as Whiteshoes ) that's a graphic description of the rugby atmosphere down under.

Hopefully there are recycling centres for all those smashed-up TV screens? )

Have to hand it to the French it was an excellent match right down to the last few seconds.

Pressure.

France- 2nd favourites, host nation, massive supporter expectation. Latin temperment.
England- All but written off 50-1 no-hopers pre tournament, nothing to lose, they weren't expected to get this far.

Who would you put your mortgage on?
