Bring it over-I've got a couple of different size mental Q7 LED torches-including the Ultrafire shown in that link- here that you can try it on. The same output as the LED lenser but half the price.

CR123 rechargeables aren't expensive-I got 8 or 10 of them from China on Ebay at about 12 quid the lot including 2 chargers 2 years ago.
They aren't showing any signs of diminishing in life yet.

True, I use 18650's and Cr123's in my gun mounted torches, but aaa's are more readily available.

WHat do you think of the 18650's vs CR123's? I'm using 2 CR123's in my gun mounted torch at the mo. I did wonder if I'd get the same output from an 18650.

Similar output but longer runtime on the 18650. Worth trying them out, mine are only eBay specials.

I have a Led lenser Hokus-Focus. Build quality is good if not brilliant, and light output is OK, as long as very fresh batteries. Honestly speaking, little disappointed. The 3 X AAA batteries will very soon show sign of reduced output, reducing the amount of light. Rechargeable batteries does not work, guess there is no electronics adjusting the voltage?
This model would not recommend but others might be better.

I was given a Maglite Led lamp as a marketing gift, roughly the same size. That one uses
2X AA bateries. Like it more, mainly due to significantly longer battery life.
