Twelve years ago I bought a Land Rover Defender 110 and converted it into a little camper. We sleep, cook and eat in it with two people. Later I’ve added a tent to the back, an awning to the side and aluminium boxes on top.
The towbar on the front finally brook down the bumper so I made a new, much stronger bumper.

The Defender brought us all over Europe and many times over the Alps and the Pyrenees. Puled the Wiking and Scorpion easily.

Had 25 cars in my life, French (Renault, CitroŽn), German (Volkswagen), Britisch (Jaguar, Land Rover), Sweden (Saab) and from the US (Chrysler Voyager) but I must say that my last one:
Defender 110 Land Rover pleases me the most. It is very versitile and reliable.
In 12 years time had no repairs or extra costs whatsoever. None.

Ok then, if you're over 6'3". .........

Bloody short-arse!!!
And I'm referring to the defender, it's not head room that's the issue. I have to open the door to wind the window down (yes, wind, manually! ). And any more than a trip to town is pretty uncomfortable.

Have looked at current model defender and have had to decline due to legroom being very limited as my knees were jammed against the lower dash
Could possibly alter seat fixing rearward to compensate but after spending loads of dosh buying it I wouldn't want to spend even more doing this
I will just have to put up with my TD5 disco commercial for a few more miles until the new defender comes out in 2013

Still having having massive fun in the Defender and not treating it gently either.

It has had no faults that were show stoppers and playing with the on board kit and the extras is all part of the fun.
