Question is
Where do I find the smiley thinghies and how do I stick em on?
As said, self confessed Knob Head on puty stuff.
If anyone has the patience to guide me
Answers in simple terms please.

Go to User CP at the top left hand corner > On the left hand side Under Settings & Options > Edit Options > Scroll Down to Miscellaneous Options > Change the option to Standard Editor.

That may work
