Just on Google Earth

Why is it when i google earth large parts of the west coast of scotland, it looks like amazonian rain forest. Makes it hard to zoom in on nice we landing spots especially near a pub.
Is there a deluxe version.

Hi, you can use the little man shape on the right of the screen click that & drag it to where you want to go & click the spot & you should be able to walk down the street or road & see what you are looking for

Simple answer is that some areas have been uploaded or photographed with Hi rez imageary but some havent .. Ive seen varying reasons as to why that is, usually mass interest/population density is 2 of them

What I don't get with G/E is how out of date it is. When looking at our boatyard it's not even got the dry stack foundations up, which must be at least 5 years ago now.

Well it could be that aerial and satellite photography is very expensive and since the vast majority of the landscape doesn't change reshooting it every year doesn't make sense OR it could be that the weather has been cack for the last 5 yrs so nobody can get a new shot!

in Ariel view you can rotate the picture so you get 4 distinct pictures - if you scroll to one site of map you get another picture that over laps! hence another set of pictures if you live in the the overlap area!

This is quite good - seems to be all of the above rolled into one.
