Joe Bonamassa

I went to a Joe Bonamassa gig a couple of weeks ago, whil'st on the UK leg of his European tour. He is relatively unknown outside of the States. He was promoted as being the guitarist of his generation. We were blown away!! If anyone gets the chance to see him, go. Check him out on his website. Alice

Alice, sounds like you've scored with Stu! And I thought you batted for the other (ladies with sensible shoes) team!

Radio 2 had an eve with JB a couple of weeks ago.

This one is a little more 'mainstream'.

He also has a programme on Planet rock.

this is a great link although I suspect it wont appeal to Coldplay Fans, i spent days listening to this but it costs me loads as I keep buying CD's from it.

His live shows are superb. He included a small venue in Falmouth on his UK tours for 3yrs running. We caught them all.

This, and being exposed to Hendrix from age 6, has created a keen 'axeman' of my eldest.

I have 'The Ballad of John Henry' - reminds me of some early Ry Cooder and maybe some John Mayer too. I haven't tried any other albums yet.....

Upgraded Thread

Well you just bought a bit of class to this thread It's probably lost on Mollers as he thinks Ry Cooder was the bloke that invented the Seed Drill.

I remember buying Bop till You Drop when it first came out. Whilst on vinyl (of course) it was the first digitally recorded album - I loved it. Still do!
