I saw Merlin in her berth not so long ago so I guess they are still about.

I agree the forum is more fun with them on it, but at least we can have proper discussions about tow ropes and prop cleaning, and not waste time talking about going on the water.

The official Rib Forum? WTF is that supposed to mean, Has it got a royal charter or just dispensation from Ribeye.
