Why such high res, are you making very large posters, or sending them to publishers, or just posting stuff on the net.

To change all my my conventional equipment (cameras and lenses etc) to a set up that could match this sort of resolution would cost as much as a good boat. this way i get the performnce of film with the benefit of digital handling. If i want to post on the web i of course reduce the size but if i want top quality prints i dont

Nic Pic

I got a Canon EOS Digital SLR for Xmas. Takes all the normal canon EF lenses and since I had a normal EOS it seemed to make sense. I found that I was not using normal camera at all and was using my Fuji 2 mp point and shoot all the time. I really like the ability to post produce photos on the ol' PC. Makes up for taking poor photos in the first place ! Can't be arsed with scanning etc so decided now that digital SLR's are relatively affordable this was the way to go. As I say only downside now is I really need a more powerful computer to muck around with prints in paintsjop pro or photoshop elements!

My favourite pic so far attached. A somewhat grey colour original, not taken level is sorted out and much more effective as Black and White!

not so bad now cos you can have the pictures from a normal camera put on CD instead of printed and given to you.

Just got a few of mine from the skiing hols back.

Early mornign in Les Arc:

Gotta post this one. My son about 8 foot up in the air having flown off a jump that the camera is too crap to make out.
