Ideal RIB Engine

Andre

Can you build me a RIB to fit around this?

Built by tiny Japanese people.

Awesome aren't they - I have seen similar engines - they only turn at about 80 - 100rpm - no gearboxes are needed - direct drive only. They don't look very high tech - actually built along the lines of a steam engine!!!

Wartsila is actually a Finnish company

The writing in the background looks like Korean (Hangul) to me...

Pretty awesome engine though, wouldn't like to pay the fuel bills!

Yup they are usually built into the ship as they are so huge - 3000 tons - who needs ballast!!! As most big ships are built in Korea you are prob right.
