The water temp was 4'C but in the first 0.25m it was 0'C. The dive was at 1000m altitude and the viz was 80m. The photos do not do it justice. Even though the lake was only shallow this is some of the best diving I have ever done. It was really different. Great crack all around.

We booked with www.taucherhof.de

We were away 4 nights in total. Not 100% on the cost yet - the diving and the accomodation in Aitrang was pretty good value. 2 nights in hotels, petrol, beer, food & so on pushed up the cost somewhat. Curiously the most expensive night was drinking in Belgium - hotel beer prices I suspect!

All round a top trip, & well worth doing.

Our trip went something like this:

Day 1: Drive Portsmouth > Namur, Belgium.
Evening 1: Beers in Belgium

Day 2: Drive Namur > Aitrang, Germany
Spent 2 days in Aitrang doing the diving. Lots of fun all round!!
Website for the divecentre is http://www.taucherhof.de

Day 3 (evening): Drive Aitrang > Stuttgart.
Few beers etc....

Day 4: Drive home!
