Hugh's Fish Fight

New series tonight on channel 4 at 9pm

Ok, so it's not the most romantic way to spend valentines evening however the last series was quite good

For those who have never seen this before it's not about Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall fighting a fish

You need to record it and do what Mrs Whisper wants...(and I'm guessing that's not buy another boat).....

My kids are getting into this and I might show them the first series as well as it concentrated on discard and was a lot more local to us and we see the trawlers all the time.

Here is the first episode of the first series:

Ok who watched it tonight? I think the conservation zones were a great idea but it's sad that it's not really being supported as it should be here

Oh, MCZ's.

HFW will screw the leisure anglers if he's not careful.

The way I understood it is that it's a conservation zone against dragged / towed fishing equipment and not pots or lines. It's about trawlers and such like ploughing our seabeds.

The idea is allowing marine conservation zones to regenerate to feed the fishing zones......
