Some of the "negativity" expressed is what is referred to as "Ball Busting" in my neck of the woods, teasing people you have affection for or are comfortable with, as on this forum... one parting thought... Don't take life too seriously, it's only temporary..

Well, well, well. Nothing seems to have changed since my last appearence on this board.... Codprawn- Congrats on boat . Chris keep it up.....
Jono- still the same??? and of course our fantastic moderator...

Just got off doctor's orders and now rearing to make up lost time..... Followed a lot of the posts and nearly choked myself to death laughing.
One thing I got round to was to listen to Karl Jenkins's music... and find that he was Welsh. Also realize that Richard B is a genius- as needed info on Yams 250- and using Google got pointed to a detailed description of how to replace a waterpump on a Yam OB. Good on you Dicky , just the job.

THanks Kerny. Had a fight with my body since Jan. All OK- well , to put it correctly , the man upstairs dosent need me at the moment!!!!!!!!!!!!My purpose will be to put codders on the correct path....

Boats back since beginning June- but had to change the waterpump on one of the motors ( back plate was buckled and had bad circulation - just like me , but the other way round)
Apparantly for all yam 250' HPDI owners- this is quite current.
Propped finally at 23" but cant get more than 50 knts.

thanks again

Jonathan

Welcome back - been a bit quiet on here lately - nobody to stick up for Bill Gates or Crony Blair!!!

Intertesting to note your boat has the same hull design as mine.

Thanks Cod, My outlook has changed somewhat. Bill is OK .It depends how you view the world. He was brought up to fend for himself - and to that end is probably over protective as regards MS. But if you or I were in his shoes we would probably react the same way. In fact , If I were him I would tell the
european commission to get stuffed. Success breeds jealousy. Look at yourself. - people are jealous of your success- a 30' sparkiling new , true blue rib- perhaps underpowered. Not many can boast such a pleasure. Poor old Hugh had to bulid his own.....How many knots have you got out of her??

As regards Blair -he is more blue than your boat- so whats the problem if he
sells peerages, has an idiot as a deputy, and as somebody once said - "show me a politician and I will show you a liar." Do you think any of the others are
better??.

Why dont you stand for parliament???. I will give you my vote??
With 6500 posts , you are pretty good with words.

ANYWAY YOUR HULL WAS BASED ON MINE

jonathan.

( ps thanks for PM will reply later)

To be honest Cameron is coming across as almost as big an idiot as Blair. Having said that he is at least honest enough to be in the right party.

Yes I know my hull is based on yours. Awesome hull - really is. Was out in some really bad conditions on Sunday - force 8 despite the fact the shipping forecast said it had gone!!! The Lougher Esuary makes things even worse but never felt in danger.

It really isn't underpowered - the engine is brilliant and the 4 blade 19" prop has loads of bite. When it is flat calm it does feel slow then - 41kts but I really need a 21" prop. Also the transom jack needs to come up another 2 holes - at the moment the engine is almost in the normal position right at the top of the travel.

what did she weigh in fully decked out? 1700 kgs? I would go for a 3 blade 23"
40 knots aint all that bad. That hull will take loads of punishment so dont worry about a force 8. Its the driver who will chicken out miles before the
hull. Just be careful not to fall into 'black holes" Get a Michigan wheel 'rapture" stainless at about 250 bucks Fob florida. Did you go for trim tabs?
