The "Buy it now" doesn't mean people actually buy it. And your use of the word "investment" is correct. Be it second hand outboards or pension funds.
A chap I know is making a killing selling 2nd hand tyres.
But quick get rich schemes are generally like hens teeth, however if you can get your hands on some rocking horse dung you might be able to turn that around.

I made quite a good business selling reptiles for a while, in fact that is was funded my honwave t40 which I bought for 1700 with a 25hp engine. Around 900 of it came from selling my collection. I have just sold one I my carpet pythons for 200 but it no longer works because I am down my caravan all summer so can't look after them.

I might try and buy an old dinghy and do it up or
Buy a spares or repair engine. That or I just spend the 300 I have on the boat and don't try and make more money from it.

Quick and easy returns generally only happen to the lucky.

Quick returns happen to people who have put time, effort and work into learning how to make a quick return without being overly greedy looking for profit - and even then sometimes they get it wrong.

An investment to me needs time - either in finding the right ' deal', learning what is the right deal and having learnt when to walk away as 'something' isn't quite right.

I think its true if you managing pension funds, investment funds, boat buying and selling or anything ! Anyhow I'm off to pick up a little boaty I have just purchased ...SIB club fun (I just cant talk about it yet).

I think I may have your answer,
For 300 you could always buy a suitable waterproof camera, affix to your boat, choose your time wisely and take snap shots similar to those posted recently, Fly a flag saying Get yer pics er dot com, you charge 10 or 15 quid a pic, Bobs ur uncle. Maybe?

That'll be 25% commission + 20% vat
