A black Nova Sri for me, stolen after about 2 weeks and replaced with a black MG Metro which was absolutely hammered. Great fun though.

My Dad had a black Lotus Carlton and it's still the only one I've ever seen. I loved that car.

The cars I used to covet but never owned were the Renault 5 Turbo and the old 205 GTi. One day maybe. :-)

Mk2 golf gti was my 1st motor and boy did the insurance hit me in the pocket at 18 yr old, all my pals had nova gte & Saxos but I wanted to be different!
Moved onto the vectra gsi and what a lovely car to drive , 23yr old with 2.5v6 beneath your foot

To be fair, I paid £950 at 18 in about 1997 for a red top 16v Astra gte.

Now it would be twice that much just for a 1.0 Saxo.

Despite it feeling a lot back then, kids pay more now and are just unable to get anything quick until over 21
