Home insurance warning.

When I got up this morning I found my workshop underwater. Rang the insurance company etc etc...

To cut a long story short, it's in the policy that boats, boating accessories and any boating components are excluded from Abbey home/contents insurance.

I was lucky nothing got damaged from the boat. The floodwater hadn't quite got that far.

If you've got boating stuff stored at home it's worth making sure your gear is covered by reading the small print.

I was lucky-the workshop is below the level of the main garage so all the bikes and most of the expensive stuff is OK. There was over a foot of water in the garden!

It HAS trashed my 180A mig plant though... Insurance are buying me a new one though so can't complain too much.
