We have a e bay projector on a 100" electric 6 defintion screen, spare bulbs are about 40 had it for over a year no problems.
I bought a spare bulb just in case but never had to use it yet.
The whole kit was 700, we also have it hitched to cable tv and the pc good bit of kit for watching movies.

blinddog not Blind dog i'll av u know Mr Wave.
Just watch if you have projector tv that blacks can be a problem if using in a room not darkened down.

I personally don't think there is any comparison between a projector and a proper LCD TV. TV all the way.
