again I missed half the program , but they called the car thier eco racer so i presumed they were running Bio fuel or home made. Maybe they added methanol to make it go faster and Iam sure I read somewhere you needed some methanol to make bio diesel ,
but hey it finished after a rebuild before the race

Whatever I wish you luck with your Bio production , iam not trying to put the kiabosh on yer ideas , I really do hope it works and at least you have an old diesel to try it in .

I saw the part where the fuel was running out and it was yellow. I thought biofuel was brown-or is that just waste veg oil fuel?

Bio diesel is made from waste oil - methanol and sodium hydroxide - the methanol and NaOH are washed out afterwards - there should be almost none left. Bio Diesel is usually a nice golden/yellow colour - reminds me of something - now what was it???

You could get a performance enhancement from "blowing" your diesel with LPG, if done correctly it gives better performance via a cleaner burn.

Though this will require an LPG kit, all extra cost. It would be an interesting economic comparison between a blown biosdiesel and an LPG converted petrol engine.

My 4.6 litre landrover project is still on but a good alternative would be a 300TDi on bio/veg oil and LPG kit.
