Holiday recommendations (boat related)

I Am thinking about next years family holiday destination ! . I take my sib and my daughter takes her small sail boat so river estuary is good for both of us, although we are open to any suggestions .

Thought I would ask here , who has been where and where can you recommend ?, thinking really about locations and where to keep the boats when your there/facility's .

thanks in advance.

I'd head to Poole, Plymouth or Falmouth - plenty of sheltered waters and places to enjoy as well as off shore waves

Loads of camping, caravans, B+Bs and others too.

Will have to be somewhere with proper beds, as wife is refusing to camp anymore.

Loads of good options in the West Country:

Dartmouth/Dittisham/Stoke Gabriel
Salcombe
Fowey
Falmouth

Or how about Norfolk Broads? Or even the Thames?

Cowes, Isle of Wight, Biffer has a 3 bed house that he rents out over there, it's quite new so everything works

It's like going back in time over there, loads to do when your not boating!

Salcombe is great too, if your camping check out Higher Rew, I think they have holiday lets too:

Higher Rew Caravan and Camping Park - Salcombe, South Devon - Home

This is near Southsands, you can launch off the beach...

Chichester harbour is another great place with plenty of options for SIBs and sailing dinghies.

We did Conwy this year and it was brilliant!

Had a amazing house that sleeps 8 and a front room over looking Conwy Marina!

We took my 6.5mtr RIB and kept it in the marina for the week and had a berth right in front of the house so every morning we could open the curtains and see the amazing views and the RIB!

Plenty to see and do in the area, and the lock didnt really cause us that much worry!
