Has this site has gone very quiet recently

is it my imagination or has this site gone really quiet recently? I have noticed it is a lot friendlier since the goings on 1-2 weeks ago which is good news, but seems quiet almost dead!!

Over the last year the number of posts each weeks has fluctuated between 450 and 1300. It goes up and down depending on a variety of factors including the weather, holidays, and all sorts of other things that are going on in people's lives.

In the last 7 days there have been just under 800 posts, which is quieter than it was a couple of weeks ago, but that was a particularly noisy week!

I wouldn't say that over 100 posts a day is "very quiet" by any means

John

Always happy to give you the benefit of the stats to align your "reality" with the real world!

Between looking at Kitchens, redesigning my driveway to accomodate an inpending aquasition, other forums, selling my fathers car, job hunting and general goings on in my life I haven't the time with boaty things just at the moment.

But I do log on at least 3 times a day to keep an eye on you lot.

I'm upto my eyeballs in Catalouges and Quotes at the moment....It seems my life is slipping away.....

I will have it fitted as I haven't the time to fit myself and there's a window to install as well as a radiator and shed loads of electrical work. It seems you can't touch electrical jobs either in the Kitchen or Bathroom or even outside anymore and need to get certificates for everything including building regs for the new kitchen window.

getting the balance right

getting the balance right is key, nice friendly banter and humour and fun are key to a long life and an interesting site. A couple of weeks ago things seemed to get out of hand but hopefully the characters will be back on line soon. Its a shame mollers is not posting at the moment as his comments did seem to add a bit of a spark and fun as did others.

I have't been on for a bit - what on earth happened two weeks ago - it looks like I missed all the fun!

I don't like it, it's too quiet...

It has gone a bit quiet, it does seem that a bit of friction certainly livens things up - the most popular threads recently seem to have been Rivas engine testing and Magnum's RIB.

I agree with the Huge One - a site needs banter and characters (where is Mollers?) otherwise it becomes worthy but dull.

However, if the past is any indication of the future, it won't be long before it all kicks off again...

I agree, where is young mollers the fiesty cornwellian, seems odd not to have his off the wall humour gracing its presence on unsuspecting posters threads.

It does appear to be extremely quiet at the moment aboard the good ship Ribnet.
