In Southampton I don't think there is the infrastructure to put the cruise ships on shore power whilst they are alongside so they are all on generators. Again if there was the infrastructure all the supporting harbour - tugs, fuel and lubricant barges etc vessels could use LNG and this would significantly reduce emission pollutants.

Unfortunately it's going to take a substantial investment to sort it out and there isn't the appetite for it.
