Just had a logburner fitted in my house by a mate who is also Hetas registered and who's self employed fitting these full time.

I bought the stove, removed the old gas fire, laid a new hearth and rendered the surround, he lined the chimney and made all the connections for 250

Its a dirty dirty job though and everything in my house has a fine layer of dust and soot on it now despite keeping doors shut and dust sheets everywhere. I'm glad I did that job before any other decorating etc
