Forum postings

So I turn my back for a couple of days, and everyone goes mad

I am currently doing a mopping up job of the Splodge induced mess, and magically getting rid of a whole load of hot air from the forum!

RIBnet generally has a high ratio of relevant information versus blathering and I'd prefer to keep it that way . . .

Thanks for your help!

John

JK,

Much respect.

I remember that you used the term "benevolent autocracy" some time ago - (I reckon you've read the same menagement textbooks as me )

Anyway - Legal, Decent Honest and Clean (Bet you can't remember where that's a quote from)

Cheers,
Rich.

I prefer "do what I bloody well say or get lost!". Means the same, sounds better!

OK, I've finished the clean up for now.

As Splodge deleted his later posts, the replies didn't make any sense so I deleted them too (and a few others that weren't adding anything). I've left most of his remaining posts intact as they show him up for the fool he is.

I have changed everyone's user permissions now to prevent posts being deleted (apart from by me of course Mwuh, huh, huh!) so if someone does go off on one in future they won't be able to remove the evidence. The user known as "Splodge " will find he is no longer able to post, and nor will anyone else on the same IP address.

Cheers
John

That's very blunt for you, Matt. The thing is that you have to dress bluntness up - the more that you want to tell someone to go forth and... the more you have to tell them that you've listened to their argument, understand it, but have come to the conclusion that after considerable thought, analysis and consideration of the evidence, that in conclusion your overall appreciation of the situation is that they should, indeed go forth and produce a race superior to that which spawned them.

And that from an Oldhamer!

"Do what I bloody well say or else!" is actually quite subtle for an Oldhamer! Usually it's "F**k off!" followed by a brick through the window.

My subtleness and tact was all used up in the "ribbing" thread, need to recharge.
